Today's Staff Pick!

Today’s staff pick is from Kristin Rucks, Director of the Northwestern Network and Alumni and Parent Relations.  

The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon is set in Barcelona, in the summer of 1945, following the Spanish Civil War. The story follows Daniel after his father brings him to the “cemetery of forgotten books.” The novel is a gothic adventure, and made me appreciate the art of storytelling. It’s imaginative, atmospheric and beautifully written.
