1977: NWC's library joins national computer network for libraries!
Because of a grant from the W. K. Kellogg Foundation of Battle Creek, Michigan, Ramaker Library at Northwestern College and a substantial number of other libraries are now a part of a national bibliographic network.
The terminal looks like an oversized typewriter with a small television screen. Library personnel might know only the author of a book, the title, the Library of Congress number, the international standard book number, the OCLC number, or a combination. These are typed and appear on the screen, a couple of buttons pressed, and instantly or within a few seconds information on the book appears on the screen. (The Classic, Spring 1977 page 19)
