RAIDERS VOTE

Before Election Day on Nov. 3, make sure you are registered to vote. In Iowa you can also register to vote on Election Day.

PLAN HOW YOU WILL VOTE

You can vote 1 of 3 ways:

Vote by Absentee Ballot

If you're registered to vote, you can request an absentee ballot from your home county. Be sure to follow the voting instructions exactly to avoid having your ballot rejected. Also be aware of deadlines for requesting ballots and returning them. In Iowa you can track your absentee ballot.

Vote Early in Person

In Iowa, you can vote early and in person from October 5 to November 2 in your county's auditor's office. In Sioux County, the auditor's office is in the Sioux County Courthouse, 210 Central Avenue SW, and is open Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Vote in Person on Election Day

If you plan to vote in person on Tuesday, November 3:

  • Northwestern College will provide shuttles to the polls at the Prairie Winds Event Center (908 8th St. SE, shuttle times to be announced).
  • Bring a valid photo ID.
  • You can register on Election Day. If you do so:
    • If you live off campus and your photo ID does not list your current address, you will need to provide proof of residence.
    • The Sioux County Auditor and Orange City polling location have lists that provide proof of residence for on-campus students.
