DeWitt Library strives to support teaching and learning at Northwestern College by providing you -- students, faculty and staff -- with the books, journals, media and electronic resources you need.  Each year, these resources grow in both depth and breadth. Currently there are more than 80,000 books and media available, along with more than 75,000 journals and magazine titles, many of which can be accessed through this web site. Moreover, books and other resources located throughout the world are available to the Northwestern community through interlibrary loan

The library is more than a collection of books and bytes, however; it's a place where learning occurs. From exploring a database with a reference librarian to a serendipitous discovery when browsing the stacks, the library opens to us a world beyond our immediate community. Authors' voices from the past and other traditions, cultures and worldviews affirm us, challenge us and, most importantly, help us to engage in seeking God's truth throughout our lives.

The library staff is here to help you find, select and obtain the information you need. We take seriously our responsibilities of teaching students to navigate the constantly growing world of information. We enjoy serving the campus and invite you to seek help, make a suggestion, or just stop by to talk.
